Journey to Saunders Hills

When Mandy’s mother decides to move to yet another new town, Mandy digs in her heels, declaring she’s staying in Birch Valley.

Standing under the Riley’s Racers sign she gazes at the only two places hiring. Mandy needs to choose between the race track and the restaurant. Will she be walking around the manure or work at the local dive of a diner where she vowed never to return. Are the new restaurant owner’s business ethics different? Whatever it takes to stay in Birch Valley, she’ll do it.

As Mateo is unloading a horse from the trailer, he steps out to see who he assumes is the new hotwalker, a fiery redhead. Mateo smiled. The summer just warmed up.

Dillon’s head is turned as soon as he passes Mandy in the stables, an unexpected pleasure when he was looking for the new waitress who didn’t show up to his restaurant. To his pleasant surprise, on his next walk through the forest she’d fall from the tree she’d been reading in and stumble right into his arms.

The race is on. Who will Mandy choose? Will she fall back into Dillon’s arms or be scooped up by Mateo? Is Mandy ready for what the winner leads her into? How could she have known that her choices would lead her back to her best friend and a tangled web of missing people?
